Looking Manual C4, C5 or C6

Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie to the club, loving every minute of it, and I'm looking to purchase my first Corvette. My absolute dream spec would be a C6 Manual Coupé in Le Mans Blue, but given that these cars are not that common and my budget isn't infinite, I am open to other options. I am also interested in Manual C5 Coupés and C4 Coupés (preferably pre-facelift). Millage isn't really a concern and I've no preference on colour/spec.

Now for the important part, the budget...
At the moment, my budget only really stretches to the 22K mark, which I'm well aware is DREAMING when discussing C6 Manuals; however, conditions may change in the coming months, where the budget will be increased.

I'm in no rush to buy and can happily wait for the right car to appear.
Hopefully I've been some-what clear on what I'm looking for in a Vette and will gladly take on any advice or criticims that any of you more knowlegable memebers have!
Thank you for reading
Ashley :)

Hello and welcome to the club, fingers crossed you find your ideal car soon. :)

Now if this post was on social media, I can guarantee you'd get everyone offering you automatic C4/5/6 (nothing wrong with autos - just that you specifically asked for manuals), some other branded fast coupes, a diesel estate, and they'd be that one person asking if you'd want his tricked out Vauxhall Nova. :ROFLMAO:

Haha, thank you, I shall stay vigilant, and thank goodness I can escape the Nova offers lol

I have recently brought a C6 manual for that kind of money. It was taxed and tested but I’m working my way through its problems. Took me many months to find that opportunity though. I know il be putting a few grand into it to get it where I’d like it.

Hi Ashley, how about a ZR-1 C4?
I'm in the market for a C4 Coupe. A ZR-1 is probably out of budget for me but I'd be interested in more details anyway, just in case I could make it work.

I'm not sure if there's a private messaging function on this forum? Let me know how best to get in touch!

A ZR1 doesn't have to be out of your budget Ashley. Yes, good low mileage ones with a documented service history SHOULD be priced accordingly (and at prices that reflect that history) but perhaps unfortunately (although maybe fortunately for prospective buyers) the C4 ZR1 does tend to be regarded by many as a bit of a 'unicorn' owing Its unique, albeit extremely robust engine. Follow Llewellyn's ZR1 purchase history and it will show that they are not beyond the realms of anyone who is happy doing work on their cars (and in most peoples eyes he took a real gamble sourcing a car that had been stored for years out in all weathers).
IMHO that 'unicorn' status of XR1's is a real beneficial factor for a serious buyer in sourcing a half decent car at potentially a reasonable price - just be prepared to wait a good while for the right car to present itself!

The Corvette ZR1 along with a Callaway B2K twin turbo are the ultimate C4 corvettes.
Either one is a nice thing to own nowadays.

Hi, not sure if you've found your manual Vette yet?
I've got a '02 C5 Z06, which I've own for sometime. Unfortunately haven't used it in 5 or so years due to ill health.
Planning on recommissioning her in the next few weeks.
I then may be tempted to sell.
It's in the fastest colour.......Yellow!

Hi, sure, I've got a few!
I'll get them sorted, and post some. Won't be tonight, probably at the weekend as I might need my son's assistance!
Cheers.

If it isn't the car for you Ashley, I might be interested, I had a 2004 Z06 in yellow about 15 years ago, always wanted another !
