You may want to rethink if the amount of labor to yank out the whole ass end of drivetrain out just to replace the clutch as the GM stock C5 and C6 clutches are crappy, esp the slave cylinder design

I did a write-up as to C5/C6 issues on my forum at

Go with known good clutch designs and also handles high loads like from different types of racing
also consider replacing the bearing of the driveshaft inside the drivetube and flush tranny fluid
Also to be easy to bleed the clutch fluid is adding a braided hose from the slave bleeder to the engine bay to make it simple to flush brake fluid used

Different note in the past I have used flywheel so light only 7 pounds, more like a gear for starter :)
To 5 inch with 5 floater discs to 8 inch dual floaters
The Tilton 5" spins RPMs up so fast you're off the line and gone before the other guy drops the clutch "-)

Got my Stage 2 Monster clutch from Keith Beschi.
Also got a new OEM slave and a Tick master cylinder.
Added a billet bearing support to the slave, original is plastic and can melt.
