Missing Service and Owners booklets.

Hi, when I picked up my brand new C8 in March 2026 I was told that both the 'Service' and 'Owners' booklets were missing (I was given an empty wallet). I was informed that this often is the case. I still have not received either almost 6 months later.

I did contact 'Corvette' UK (Europe), who offered no help in acquiring replacements....other than suggesting that I purchase some myself (they did give me the name of a 'third party' company who reproduces these booklets).

Just wondering if any other owners have in fact come across the same issue.

That's awful! Who did you buy the car from? Do C8s have Service books, or is servicing/repair history just recorded on line, as is common these days I think? My late 2022 VW daily driver doesn't have a Service book for "stamping up"

I bought the Corvette from one of the UK dealers. I am hoping they will eventually full fill their obligation to give me what I have actually paid for.

Yes, C8's still have a 'service' booklet.....after all it was the dealer themselves who told me that both service/owners booklets were missing.

Not sure what you mean by "service" as would not be the service manuals which is multi books and very costly ?

Just checked my paperwork.....received the 'Certificate of Conformity'.....nothing else.

Oh.......and an empty wallet (the same as the one in your photo).

Good that you got the CoC. Just as a matter of interest, does the CoC include the wording that the car is Certified for "Left Hand Hand Rule of Road" (as opposed to RH Rule of road) or doesn't mention that at all?

On my Euro mainland spec C6, with Dutch language CoC, it said it was certified for RH rule of road. On my UK spec C7 the CoC (in English) said it was certified for LH rule of road. UK spec C6s and C7s had specific UK headlights fitted to them. At a guess, UK C8s have "flat beam" headlights fitted to them, so they work OK if you takes the car abroad/no need for beam benders etc. ?

Have you contacted other UK authorised dealers to see if they can supply the documents? And does the label inside the wallet say "Made in China" as it did on my C7?

Yes, I noticed that 'made in China' label too.
