My Son drove an Electric Corvette C1 today

Spotted at the garden centre whilst out and about with wife and child. Went over to have a look at this marvellous C1 Corvette to find that despite the "Fuel Injection" labels, it was actually an electric beast. My son looked interested, so managed to get him to have a go in it. He was very impressed with it and thought it drove great. My only thought was that I thought electric cars were supposed to be cheap to run, but this one seemed to cost more than my C3 for the distance it travelled.

I got a few photos of him driving the Corvette, and even a video. He didn't want his likeness to be shared on the internet, but I knew you'd want to see the car, so I took this photo of the car without my son in it just for the club:

You can't see due to the reflection on the windscreen, but actually it is "dual control" as it has a steering wheel on both sides. I'm guessing then a parent can take control of the car in case the child gets too carried away

First time I saw one was in Farringdon Rd ( city of London) a chap was suited and booted wizzing down Farringdon towards Blackfriars. Looked pretty cool at the time.

There’s quite a few kids C8 battery operated ones on eBay for sale, new for £140 ish . Couldn’t see any earlier models tho.

Ahhh... so Chevrolet have finally released the all electric C8 then? And glad to hear its an affordable model

Isn't that just the Hornby model? I mean it is electric, and you do drive it yourself. Granted can't ride it, but hey.....
