Two young Canadian guys who have built-up a stroker big block Chevy engine. Some good parts installed, plus a 489 stroker crank, Edelbrock heads and a Comp roller cam. No specifics on any of the components but the guys decided to have a shake-down dyno run to make sure all was OK with the engine before installing. Some surprisingly simple probelems occur that perhaps wouldn't have been picked-up if the engine had just been installed and ran in the car. OK, so its a big block and most on here will be fiddling with small blocks........but much of what goes on here will relate to SBC's too. Ironically several of the issues highlighted were ones I had to deal with on my own engine......valve cover drip rails, poorly fitting dip stick causing oil and vapour leaks, leaking oil pan gasket, one or two problem noisy lifters, carb jetting and sizing.
