Drained the amsoil zrod synthetic oil and changed to valvoline vr racing 20/50. I had a K & n oil filter in stock so used that, will go back to wix next time.
I was amazed just how thin the synthetic oil was when I drained it, like hot black bath water. I will fit the the new plugs tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how they look .

I have been using Valvoline VR1 Racing oil for every annual oil change in the 9 years of ownership . It`s the best IMO . I use Fram filters on the C3 but always fit K&N on the Hemi Jeep .

Fram on mine too. I bought 3 or 4 a while back as in a few years back and I can't remember what I paid but a mate with a new to him C3 bought the same as mine while in the USA for $4 each at Walmart. Replaced the oil in all mine over the Winter except the C3 which is next on the list.

I buy this online for £80 per 25 ltrs delivered

Not sure if I have a leaking rear main seal as have some oil leaking between bell housing and inspection plate. I will check oil pan bolts for tightness and inspect around back of valve covers and intake manifold. Lat time I had oil leaking here it was from the missing bearing retainer bolt but gearbox still full of oil and this is engine oil. Anyone replaced seal in situ?
