One look at this yellow 2003 Corvette, or what’s left of it, and you’d think it would be impossible to survive the crash that destroyed it

But believe it or not, 25-year-old Kyle Damian Micovich suffered only minor injuries and was taken to Grande Ronde Hospital for observation and treatment.
Now, the La Grande, Oregon man is facing additional charges as the investigation by the La Grande Police Department continues, in addition to already being cited in lieu of custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

The one-vehicle crash happened about 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 near Birnie Park in La Grande.
The Corvette wound up upside down, with the front end basically demolished and what appears to be part of the drivetrain lying in the background of a photo from the scene.
Police say the Corvette was headed east on C Avenue when it jumped the curb on the north side of the road in front of the Forestry and Range Sciences building before hitting two large trees and coming to rest upside down, ejecting Micovich from the car in the process.
