Some "strange" opinion in this one, as is usually the case, but at least he has some experience of driving one when they were launched:

Yes, strange in places, especially regarding the LS6 and how it doesn't respond to tuning!

Yep. And he mentions comparing it to a CLK55 AMG, back in the day. A track oriented sports car, vs. a coupe off a heavy saloon car platform!

In the US they would have compared to the 996 model 911 turbo, which would have been $150k vs. the Vette at $50k. And interior wise 996 and 997 model Porsches are not that luxury, or endowed with modern materials to be honest.

Yeah the author got picked up in the comments for even putting this as a "brave pill" car due to how reliable and easy to work on they are!

Good to see them getting recognised for the performance bargain they are!
