Possible diff problem

I may have a problem with the diff on my 95LT1, taking it to the place that has done really good work on my car but a bit worried about the possible cost involved if the diff needs overhauled or replaced. My question is, what sort of cost would either repair or replacement be?

Hi JR, sorry for late reply. Had the oil drained off and replaced, plus limited slip diff additive. The oil was awful, I have never replaced it in the 7+ years I have owned the car, and I reckon it was last changed when Noah was a boy All good now.

Good to hear that is all that was wrong
Not sure why people never consider replacing the diff fluid,
but real important fluid has not degraded and the need to replace the additive

I have used the Mobil I synthetic for my C4s and C5, and it also has the limited slip additive mixed in
