Power steering fluid advice.

Hi all, what are folk using to top up their c3 power steering ? On the cap it says type A auto trans fluid. I have some merc benz atf but it does not state what type it is . Any suggestions welcome. TiA.

I use Ravenol PSF-Y. It meets GM specs GM 9985010, GM 89020661, GM 1050017, at least one of which is specified for C3 Corvettes.

The Merc fluid is unlikely to be compatible. Type A is really early ATF. They probably stopped using it in transmissions in the 1950s
