Hi guys has anyone fitted Double adjustable QA1 coil over shocks to there C2 ..
I suggest you do some homework and also visit QA1's website
qa1.net
There is a lot of information there and also has a section to show what official approved dealers there are
Review their BLOG, videos and FAQs
You need to decide if you install these on the front (QA1 shows about $1,000 for the pair) [be a bit cheaper with a dealer]
How that effect the back, weight transfer and important what rate of the spring you choose which I assume for a 327 CI
is 400 pounds per inch
With a coilover shock, it would allow lowering or raising the front end up to 2 inches and then how to handle the rear end as to the height changes and weight transfer
Spring rate refers to the amount of weight that is needed to compress a
coil spring one inch.
As an example, If the rate of the spring is linear, its rate is not affected by the load that is put on the spring.
For example, say you have a 200 lb. per inch spring, it will compress 1” when a 200 lb. load is placed onto the spring.
If another 200 lbs. is put onto the spring, the spring will compress another inch.
At this point, the load on the spring is 400 lbs.
The rate of the spring, however, remains constant at 200 lbs. per inch
