Recommendation for new brakes, please. C6, 2005, Z51.

Sounds like seized pistons in the calipers not moving out to meet disc.
Thanks Blackzed.
But if the pistons are not moving, would that not simply result in poor braking, rather than uneven wear?
The worn pads are the ones closest to the pistons, btw.
The guide pins in the carrier are in good shape, so I'm at a bit of a loss. If the guide pins were sticking, it would make sense to me, but they don't seem to be doing so.

Actually, thinking about it further, it would seem likely that the pistons are not returning into the calliper unit on brake release.
I'll see if Keith Beschi can get me new piston seals.

ebc pads are fine but avoid the discs as they are rubbish

Power stop brakes.. Rock auto. Most places in UK can order them for you. Like US Automotive , Place in Mildenhall etc.
as long as you get the ones for Z51 option you wont have any fitment issues

these can be purchased from many places including UK

you can also use www.amazon.com and they be shipped from USA to UK

Interesting, in my experience it's the other way around. I've used two sets of EBC RP-1 pads on the C6 and both have been poor, whilst I regularly use EBC discs (dimpled and grooved) with no issues. They're high carbon and seem to resist cracking pretty well.
