Removing brake booster check valve.

How can I remove my brake booster check valve from my 87 c4? It’s the original plastic brake booster. Feels like if I just prise it out it might brake something?

looks like it just pushes in and pulls out.
The shop manual give no other information than 'remove check valve"

Thanks for looking it up. Yes, not much info given. Looking at the way the installed one almost comes out and the form of the new one it does make me think it’s just brute force necessary. I don’t mind breaking the old valve, but not the booster itself! Thanks.
