Nevertheless, I am always happy to help you in anyway I can
Gavin, Just for clarity, am I right in saying that if we want a C3 from Gavin:
1) You would source one from the US, if no suitabe/spec UK located car available?
2) Any cars you have for sale, are only advertised on your Facebook Page? (Not on Ebay/Autotrader etc)

If someone on here identified a car in the UK for sale they fancied (eg. auction or dealer), would you be prepared to go and check it out/inspect it? At a suitable fee of course? Thanks/Peter

Can't see they would have carried out an MOT unless specifically asked to so yes sounds like they are up-selling the job. Tell 'em to feck off and release your Corvette. See if there's a C3 owner/member close by that will put some eyes on it with you once you have it in your possession. I've done this many times for other members.

My C3 handbrake is ok but I still avoid putting it through an MOT as I don't need the hassle.

Enjoy your Corvette, looks a nice one (y)

As Stewart sez...... remember that no two MOT stations have the same outlook on older vehicles and another one might home-in on something else. Best perhaps use the car as is (addressing issues like possible lighting infringements and obviously fixing anything likely to be classed as dangerous.......and get yourself further 'into' the car during your first year of ownership and addressing anything as above once more in your leisure and perhaps some of those silly/stupid things that perhaps might be picked-on needlessly in the unlikely event of a 'tug' by the traffic police.
