Although far from finished, I can now get the 72 out of her air chamber in the remains of the old shed and into what will be her new residence.
I have started to tackle some of the list of jobs to do. Got her onto the lift and adjusted parking brake at rear wheels yesterday. All components were new when the body off resto was done 5k miles ago so nothing siezed, just needed adjusting. I am replacing the park brake lever as I had cracked the plastic grip trying to get the handbrake to hold. All holding really well now.
looking to remove seats next and fit the period correct lap and separate shoulder belts through the seat backs. Lovely to be able to leave car safe in bits in a lovely clean environment . πŸ‘

Another door went up this week although not without issues. Fitters were struggling to get it to raise evenly and it was slipping teeth on the plastic drive cogs. It also has a gap st the top snd the curtain is bowing😩 does’nt inspire much confidence in the quality and longevity of the product. The boss is hopefully coming to look at it. The white one is just a temporary thing to keep out some weather. Will get there eventually 🀞

Hope your next project will be to pave that parking area to rid all the dust and rocks getting kicked up on the Vette

Well spotted team zr, my place has been a building site for 18 months, once the shed is done it will have a massive clean up outside of all the old building stuff and old shed wood, and nice new gravel. Cant wait πŸ˜πŸ‘

What about Vette owners that are doing something sacrilegious and passing by without driving a Vette?
This is cornwall with our fair share of rain so quite welcome in non GM iron . A β€œwet” day is not a β€œvette” day ! Unless you have a c4 or beyond πŸ€£πŸ’¦

This is what I thought about my double garage.... but they sneak in. Then you build them a lean-to shed against the garage, and the status quo returns in the garage. But then they sneak back in......

That`s the beauty of renting workshop space 9 miles from home . Wifey can`t infiltrate it and my space is all mine , all mine . I am off to there this morning to replace a failed sealed beam head light and a bit more tinkering . I will have the race car guys for company so lots of ` lads chat ` and car talk . (y)DSCF2890.JPG

Cheers Mad4 , I have `taken the purple` as the Romans used to say . Next stage is to be crowned Emperor of my domain .
The great thing about being out in the sticks at the workshop is that no one can pop round and bother you . (y)

F6190E21-61B1-4856-8EFD-DCBFE6EEE83D.jpegThat sounds like a plan.
Potting shed done and just found a set of ex RAF st Mawgan steel cupboards and drawer units on market place , plan to put them along the back wall of the vette room. Cracking quality being MOD . Will be able to keep all my vette related bits, spares and tools right by the car . πŸ‘160653EF-024D-415C-A1B9-E80ADAEB6A4B.jpeg
