My dad had one in burnt orange metallic that was a beautiful color when the sun hit it. We also had the matching trailer.
As they are a unique looking car they should be painted in “ high impact colors”
Many were in prowler metallic purple , not unlike the 70’s plum crazy/ In violet.

Another case of american manufacturers deciding that 'sports' cars don't need proper on-board luggage space....:((n)
Yes indeed. I could never fully understand why the all new 63 and up stingrays never had a trunk. Certainly the convertible could have easily been made to have one. My 60 had a trunk, not massive but quite useful. It’s all very well stuffing things behind the seats, but quite annoying.
I remember a car buying trip to Belgium/germany where we went in my 65. Very annoying as the soft top had to be up all the time, backs of the seats got damaged. Never again.

That’s why I’ve always like the rear luggage rack on C3’s. Very handy, and I think they look good on both coupes and convertibles.

On a C3 yes.

On a C2 coupe definitely No
Times out on the C2 convertible.
