Got my build sheet and window sticker through today for my 96 C4 convertible. Seems it was ordered by and delivered to GM engineering test facility in Warren MI, probably around Feb 96. Car fax shows it stayed there for 2 years and covered appropriately 30k miles before being sold on to a private buyer who kept it until late 2013 before it came to the UK and was registered in 2015.
Would there be any way of finding out why it went to the test facility and what, if anything it was used for while there? Of course it could have just been a pool car or a company car for an employee but i would love to know.
I cant see it being a development car as 1996 was the last year of the C4 so they would have been working in finalising the C5 by then.
