Here’s something for the collector a 1976 Coupe with just 417 miles from new. Finished in yellow with a saddle interior.
Not really much use to anybody really as you can’t drive it for fear of increasing its mileage, and decreasing its value.
Yours for a mouth watering $57k

My thoughts too , what a waste of a great car ! Cars are for driving , if folks want to just admire something beautiful buy a painting and hang it on the wall !!

Yes, base price of the vet in 76 was about $7500 so with a few options say $9000 out the door.
$9000 then is $42k now. So at 57k he’s showing a little profit in actual dollars in hand.

Nothing underneath could possibly be worn out, due to the ultra low miles the car has travelled. Obviously the rubber items could have deteriorated due to age, and if used should be replaced as a matter of safety. But as you said, it will never be bought to use. Future investment? Maybe. Bragging rights? Possibly. A museum would be a good choice.

I know there are quite a few 78 Pace Cars around with similar or even lower miles because everyone thought they would be collectors items due to the 1 per dealership allocation. It’s not every day you see standard cars with so few miles though!

Yes, ultra low mileage cars are for the best part a waste of time. You can’t use them.
Many years ago dad bought a 1993 Z28 Indy pace car. It was a actual festival car used on the race day. It had about 150 miles on it. After a rethink we backed out of the deal, and got our money back. When we actually thought about it, what good was the bloody thing. We paid a Hugh premium because of the mileage. We would have driven it back from Southampton, putting nearly another 150 miles on it in just one outing. We bought a 40k mile example for less than half what we paid for the other one.

That`s what I meant , bushes , lines , rubber components and seized brakes etc . As you say , a collectors item surely .
