A friend had a 71 challenger in white with a green interior. Only had the little 318ci in it, but looked lovely. Can’t remember the year, ( sometime early eighties) but remember he paid £900 for it, which wasn’t a fortune at the time.

Did a trip with a few fella's in 60's and 70's 'muscle' to Santa Pod in the mid 70's. I was in my '68 Javelin 343 wringing the life out of it on the M1......finally hitting the limit at an indicated 123 mph. Russ had a rather plain looking Challenger 440 RT with full headers, exhaust and trick carb. He had been following but drew along side me - waved over and accelerated hard with the front end bobbing up a little.....and it just kept pulling away until it was a speck on the horizon......fantastic car!

The mopar 383 and especially the 440 motors were fantastically strong powerful engines. Very robust. We had a 440 in a B5 blue charger that dad sold along with an impala convertible to a chap from Iran.
I loved that charger. Too young to drive it at the time but washed it quite a lot.
