Wanted - C5 2004 Commemorative Le Mans Convertible

I retired earlier this year and having sold my 1980 C3 which I had for over 25yrs I am now on the hunt for the model that I have always wanted.
I know it is a long shot as I do not believe there are any in the UK but if anybody knows of one for sale without staggering import costs!!, then please get in contact.

Can't find one in the UK for sale as you say nor in Europe. There are none in the Club at the moment either.

As I expect you know there are very few in the States either. Found one in Texas for $19,999 which, at the current rate of exchange is about £15,200 but that is going to work out around £28k with duty, VAT and other costs if you ship in a container. If you RoRo it, you might save £2-3k. Having said that, it is a very rare car!

I think you're looking at the wrong cars, I doubt very much you'll find a Z18 in the States.

Why would you? GM only made 45 and every one went to the EU.

So the "Z18" RPO is telling you/us its one of the 45 EU spec cars? Were there any convertibles in the 45, or unknown?

I was referring to RPO 1SC of which 2,659 were made. I presumed that it was to these to which he was referring although I may be wrong in that.

No convertibles, just coupes. many one-off feature which I believe even included the seat centre material. They also came with the full Z06 handling package plus Z06 brakes & suspension. The Black Book states there were 46 made but the Stateside C5 registry suggests only 45.

There's actually a club on the continent specifically for the Z18, last word said there were 17 members. Should be a good show if they all turned up together.

My pleasure Kevin. Presume you mean the US Classic.com website above? Hope you find the car you are looking for in the US. Did you see the recent thread where Gavin at EMC is saying he can ship a car from the States at a fraction of the cost of ShipMyCar? Peter
