White C6 for sale

This car has been for sale for some time now, I’m sure many of you have seen it and perhaps have even contacted the seller. Apologies in advance if you are the seller, I’m not knocking you or the car I’m actually just trying to avoid wasting anyone’s time.

In the advert it states it’s a project, that it’s probably been flooded. It’s on for an ok price but clearly it’s not cheap enough as it’s not selling. Personally if I could get it down to say £15k it may consider it as I’m not afraid of a little work.

What I’m looking for is any information the community here has about this car and the risks of flooded cars as it’s a common concern I seem to understand?

This is like the third Corvette for sale here that looks like they were flood cars
This shows water to top of engine

Who wants to be running a LPG system with all the unknown mods he has to make that work ?

Does that look like the glass for dash gauges is cracked ?

Says auto tranny, but that looks like a boot for a manual shifter ?

What’s the give away on the flooding? The oxidation on the pulleys, alternator etc?

The cracked binnacle cover shows a lack of care but is an easy fix. The LPG thing is work, to return to stock format, annoying but not impossible…

The steering wheel has the paddle shifts.

I placed some white arrows to see engine was underwater to the top
Such as the case for the Alternator, throttlebody, connector for gas line to gas tank
Notice how the covering for wiring harness is dried out
Be a real mess in all the changes done for the LPG if that fails and no one knows how to debug what is wrong
Be suspect to any wiring connectors and worse all ground points or splice packs

Yea notice auto paddles

And the brake discs aren't drilled, which tells you that its not a Z51 optioned car. I wouldnt buy a C6 without that. Has the cheap looking MGP brake caliper covers on it.

Sorry guys - Can of worms. As some of you know I'm not afraid of a project car (ahem, ZR1 laid up outside for over 20 years) - This one looks like an absolute lemon, personally I wouldn't touch it. You'd be far better off paying a bit more and buying a nice straight car....
