And all own C8s, like about 12 dozen of them

So what is the hold-up for those of you in the UK ?
Imagine what all the sand does to the paint job !

Do`nt suppose the rich kids in Dubai will give a toss about sand blasted paintwork or sand in the induction system buggering up the engine . They will just ditch them and move on to another new toy .

We seem to get a fair few over here. If you open the bonnet and you see a lot of yellow dust, walk away.

I'm at the UK importer, Ian Allan Motors, tomorrow so I will ask them about the UK C8s.
Nothing to report. First batch of RHD C8s still awaited (but due shortly) and then the delays at the DVLA need to be overcome...................

As they will be classed as new official imports there should not be any delay in registration. Completely different from personal importation.

First batch C8's expected here in Belgium around January 2021. More than two years for some, that ordered them.

As for a car from Dubai, a real trouble to get it registered here in Belgium. Seems that the amount of paperwork is not what is has to be.

Clearly I don't know as much about these matters as some and was simply going on what I was told. No DVLA delays, then.

The last I heard there was still hold ups with DVLA on many processes due to so many staff still not at their desks . Processing much needed HGV licenses is one such area to suffer .

Well, if personal import vehicles are as we all know running into delays, it might be that the official imported cars ie Mercedes, BMW etc etc could also be having delays, but their registration from new is different to personal importation, and is pretty trouble free.

It may be because they have to register a new model so that the DVLA can assess RFL, vehicle class, emissions etc

It's with every new car that they have to meet car regulations, it's to get a certificate of conformity.
I still wonder if the U.K. maintain the E.U. standards.
