Lost clock reading on SatNav/splash panel.

The clock on my 2009 C6 stopped working, possibly after the battery was disconnected. I checked on the US Corvette site and burned a CD with a fix; the CD is put into the SatNav DVD slot and 'does what it says on the tin'.
If anybody needs this fix, I'll be pleased to give further information or loan out my disc.

Yes, that's when it happens Barry. No sweat: either I can let you have the URL to burn your won DVD or send me your postal address and I'll send you my disc, which I would like returned of course. Just stick it in the SatNav slot and follow the instructions; piece of cake.

OK Barry; I'll post it on Monday. Incidentally, you could always make a copy of it.
How long have you had your car? Looks as if you joined the CCCUK last year.
Apropos transaxles; I think the oil is slated to be changed at 60k. I bought my car new in 2009 and there was a technical service bulletin recall in the first couple of years due to noise in the transaxle. The oil was changed with a different spec. and the change was noticeable. As Castrol used to say, 'It's Liquid Emnghineering'.

I had this same problem with the clock after my battery went dead over last winter. I searched and posted on line and never found a solution. I even started looking for a replacement upgrade to no avail
Can I please join the list for this disc?
In addition to the clock not displaying on the screen, I also noticed that the satnav icon was crossed through indicating no satellite signal even though the satnav seem to work fine.
I have a 2009 C6. 34 Forest Road Hugglescote Leicestershire LE67 6LH

Not sure why you couldn't find anything on line? This (Nov 2019 article) appears to cover it, including link to download file to your computer to put on CD-R disc.

Thanks Chevrolet. I am on to this now. My garage didn’t understand the problem last February and by the summer 2019 I had given up looking for a solution. You have made my day!

Barry, have you received the DVD? I posted it a few days ago.
Seems Trevor now needs it so perhaps you could post it directly to him, then you can return it to me please Trevor, that's unless you burn your own apropos the alternative mentioned. I never found the site mentioned.

Frank. I still need the disc if possible. I found the link and tried to burn a CD-R. In fact I did it twice and neither automatically loaded as hoped so I imagine that I have a problem with my ageing PC also.

Yeah, good. Worked a treat for me as well Barry.
Only one thing I noticed; the screen bars/separators, call them what you will, came out blue whereas they used to be green.; indeed they're probably better in blue anyway. Not a problem; everything is fine and the clock is now back. I was missing it.
If anybody else needs it, Trevor could post it on; otherwise please return it to me in due course Trevor.

There are about 4 screen colour options for the central display. If you fiddle with the option settings you should find it.

Yes, I thought so; which is what I told my son after we'd reformatted. I know I found the option once before but can't be bothered now as I rather prefer the blue anyway.

Nice one! Maybe Trevor forgot to "unzip" the downloaded file on his computer before he put it on the CD-R disc?

Yes, I was initially quite perturbed when my clock disappeared so, finding this fix was good and clear proof that the Internet and Forums serve a good purpose?
If anybody else wants it you could forward it on to them. If somebody at Corvette Central can or wants to keep the DVD for general member availability, good, do it and let me know. Otherwise please return to me and I append my address below.
