It came from the era (1979/80) of bolt/grafted on wheel arch/ fender panels to make a more muscular appearance, think Greenwood. Stick on bits were the common norm. 46 years on, it’s bound to look different/dated/ even “wrong”
Having seen one, I quite liked it then and now.
The front is comparable to the studebaker avanti, accept it or leave it.

The 80’s was a glorious time for the “body kit “ bolt on aggressive appearances could be had without the expensive bodywork modifications. The C3 got a few bits, but the main corvette to benefit was the C4. From “ basic” lower sill skirts and a bolt on rear wing ( greenwood again) to full blown creations like the stalker kit. Ferrari testarossa style kits also turned the C4 into something different.
The body kit done marvels for the Mercedes 190E . From a basic grandad car into a Miami vice machine. Anybody remember Rude Mercs in Cambridge Heath Road? He couldn’t make and sell them quick enough.
Hell, even Aston Martin got in on the body kit lark.
They all look very dated today tho, unless you were of that era like me, and still love them

Relatively 'restrained' compared with things like the Greenwood and Mako type kits. We have a member in Scotland with a Mako shark modded C3 and an Ex-member, Barry Gibral with a road-going big block C3 with full Greenwood kit.

Certainly not something you could park up safely. That front would be so prone to damage, if not by the driver mistakenly then certainly by others.

One of the very first mistakes a new C3 driver makes is to misjudge the length of the C3 /conk' and nudge something when parking. My 'misjudgement' fortunately was a old wooden fence....so no real damage was caused to the car or fence.
