Good afternoon All,

I am looking to sell my C5 Convertible 2004, in Millennium yellow. I have owned from new, imported myself from Florida, so its a 1 owner car and has rarely been used with 7,500 miles from new. Annually serviced and MOT'd, - in mint condition.

Please can you I ask for your help to value this car ? - Am I allowed sell via this forum?

Many thanks your help in advance, Tim

Hi Tim. Have you ever been a club member since 2004? Think the answer is as a non "paid up" member of the club, you are not allowed to sell/advertise your car on here. But some club members may be interested in it already, from your message above.

As to value, give Adrian Dromey a call to see if he is interested/how much? That's maybe your starting point as to its value?

Best thing to do is lookup similar cars on the internet and see what prices they are for sale at. Then price yours accordingly. Or just pick a figure you think you want for the car and advertise it. If it doesn't sell after a while, reduce it and see if anyone takes a bit.

Good luck with the sale.

Totally agree. Any trader will only offer you trade price. Your always achieve more on a private sale. The car has a lot going for it. Lovely colour, it’s a convertible, original owner and a fantastic low mileage.
If you’re in no hurry to sell, price it high and come down periodically if it doesn’t sell.
Summers coming, and “when the top comes down the price goes up “

There are people who love C5 Vettes and consider them the best combination of modern reliability, performance and economy whilst keeping the ethos of what a Corvette is all about. There are also people who will pay dearly for an ultra low mileage car that has been meticulously looked after and maintained. Yellow cars (and the trail of insects that they attract in sunshine) may be off-putting to some (but not serious buyers). Sell it yourself at your price......and wait for the right buyer.

I forgot about the bug thing with yellow cars, the last yellow car I had was a yellow bird Pontiac Firebird. Wash and polish it, five minutes later it’s covered in bugs
A yellow C5 vert is real cool tho, also a yellow C4 vert. I’m a rag top man I’m afraid.

Always thought yellow looked great on all generations of corvette. From Panama yellow on the 58’s up to “yellow “ on C7’s. Haven’t seen a C8 in yellow yet, I assume they do it, equally sure it will look great.
