Clarkys Corvette C5

@teamzr1 Hi there, yes it has the switch that has been appropriated for the UK standard rear fog light. I was hoping to have these as a flash to pass light or to at least have the wiring left behind for it even if the switch is now used for the rear fog light....sadly it looks like its a new section of wiring required and perhaps a separate switch too. I was lead to believe that all the 2004 C5s had fog lights as standard and it was a delete option to get rid of them however I don't have the T96 option code in the glove box...dang it!

Here is a list for 2004 C5 as what was RPOs

and

Yea I do not seeT96 as an option for 2004 so you would think than your 2004 would have them standard and someone later added just the rears

I used your VIN #, did not know your colors or options it has, but this shows what was standard features
Also attached below as a PDF but YES fogs were standard feature

Should be easy if you go to rear fogs and follow the wiring and then splice wires to make up the front 2 pin connectors to fit the fronts your adding or go to that fog switch and splice for the fronts

I think I found the passenger side one cable tied up by the horns...gonna be some digging to find the other one or to buy a plug to fit the driver side and loop the wiring across 🤔

So I found the original build sheet tucked inside the chassis rail but guess the British weather hasn't been kind to it so I popped it back in. Bumper and splitter is back on now too. Just finishing touches to go

Print out this schematic and start with relay 39 in fuse panel in engine bay
Should be easy to follow and debug

Both front fog lamps get the same 12v volts and ground

If you tell me what colors for paint, color in cabin, type of tranny,. And what GM options your C5 has
I can make up a sticker that would be close

So the Corvette went for an oil and filter change and also to have the Powerbond harmonic balancer kit fitted too. While it was in it also had a new NSR wheel hub and 4 new TPMS sensors fitted too! A few quid lighter but a happy and healthy Corvette at the end of it is totally worth the money spent. So happy the balancer was done as it literally came to pieces being removed.

So just back from the annual trip to Le Mans...car performed faultlessly as ever! Despite my fears with the new underdrive pulley kept voltage up and AC as good as ever..a few other corvettes met along the way and some other fancy bits of kit too. All topped of with a trip to the United autosports pits for the last 2 hours of the race and into the pits for cars over the line ...met up with the Toyota crew to celebrate their 1-3 result!! Amazing
