I absolutely loved going to the London Motor show at Earl’s Court. Went every year, first with my dad, then from about 13 years old with friends. A fantastic day out for car mad kids.

Nice to jog such good memories - London was the biggest Motor Show on the planet at that time, really the best by far so you were lucky to visit during such an amazing period in time.

Did the Earls Court motor show a couple times on school trips between 62 and 65 a I recall. Don't remember the American cars, it was the likes of Bristol, Jensen and DS Citroen that I was probably interested in at the time. The carrier bags of leaflets we would bring back home!

I used to visit the race car show nearby at Olympia in the mid to late 60's - if anyone recalls that?
The Stork only delivered me in 1964 so I didn't get to see any of that. In fact I bet I would have been a teenager before I got further south than Birmingham.

I went to a small cars & coffee (beer, well shandy)) Tuesday evening and met a chap that had a SWC but wasn't a member but I directed him to this thread anyway which is available to non members.

split window coupe was kind enough to email me the pdf files of the original images I started this thread with. I had a play around with different sizes on the plotter we have in our office and they print really well. I might run some copies off and add them to the auction we're having at the gala dinner at the Nationals in July. See the Nationals thread to what the auction proceeds are planned for!
