Edelbrock supercharged 1980

Been working on this car for 6 years now, new blueprint crate engine, wrapped in satin blue, side pipes ,van steel front and rear suspension and so much more along the way.

Always wanted a supercharger and found one albeit was missing alot of parts so had to buy another one.

Found a great classic american specialist near me and they have really helped me bring this car along shout out to Grumpys garage

Anyway here's the nearly finished project just need some wider rear wheels to help put the traction down

Re side pipes, ( something I’ve always loved) I think the 1969 factory one year only version are the ones to go for on a C3. To my eyes they look just right.

Thanks Im pretty sure they are dougs got them before the cost of living so were sub 1k nearly double now...

No mufflers so very loud

Really love these wheels but now thinking I need to upgrade to wider rears as the car is somewhere between 450-500bhp

Yes, those original wheels are pretty small for 450-500 bhp.

Side exhausts can be pretty loud depending on make. Factory C2 and C3 pipes aren’t too bad. More droney on coupes than convertibles. Early Thursh outsiders and sidekicks were about the same noise level. Hookers seemed to be louder to my ears. No idea about all the modern variants.

Problem with all side pipes whether factory or aftermarket is constriction of power output. Less an issue with lo-po engine options than HO options. Muffler inserts for Hooker or Doug's side pipes once again will restrict power output unless considering the least restrictive (and therefore loudest) muffler inserts.
Thing is.........they simply look so good don't they?

Going through the paperwork on the red '66 coupe I came across a receipt for the exhaust which is written down as SWEET THUNDER GIVE NO MERCY what the hell I thought.. I googled it and sure enough it's a real thing
