I am very fortunate to own and have in my garage a 32 ford coupe 'American Graffiti' , a 1955 chevy Harrison Ford 'American Graffiti', a 'Dukes of Hazzard' Charger and lastly a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 'Vanishing Point'.
Hard work and saving is why i am able to afford such a collection.

I thought it never snowed in Cornwall.
My collection i have in my garage.. Five cars from American Graffiti.. Milners Coupe, Harrisons 55 Chevy, Suzanne Somers white T-Bird, the Pharaohs red Mercury and of course the gorgeous white 58 Impala. Facing them is the black Supernatural 67 Impala, a red 68 Camaro, SoCal 32 Coupe, 32 Roadster and a 787B. Between them is a collection of eleven WWII Warbirds and six Steam Locos. In the dining room there is two more 32 Coupes, an 82 Vette, two 787Bs, a Ferrari and a Ford Pop plus more Warbirds.

I wanted a non age related plate.
The choice of number from DVLAs limited selection was inspired by the yellow American Graffiti Coupe reg THX138.
I knew i wouldnt get that number because Jeff Beck has it on his American Graffiti clone.
The closest i could get was THZ but 138 wasnt available (or 350 or 427).
So i ended up with probably the only 454 Big Block 1981 in the world.
No excuses in this now Derek...........you simply have to put a big block in the car.

Some years ago at one of the DVLA auctions the reg 427 RAT came up for sale at one of their on-line auctions . I started bidding unaware that one of our ex-members had been after this seemingly unissued number for some years. It was only his harranging the DVLA that prompted them to put up for sale. He has a '67 427 Vette. I was also unaware that he was prepared to pay a considerably higher figure for it than I was. The bidding (as I recall) went up to about £3800 plus fees and vat and I dropped out. He got it for a couple of hundred more and was very happy.
Oddly a couple of year later I saw RUO 427 for sale on-line with a private seller (no where near the price that 427 RAT went for). Not quite what I wanted but it said 427. Ironically the engine was now 489 cu in's. But the car model is a Corvette 427 - so I'm OK with that.

That would make one hell of a car. Remember you don't actually been to sacrifise mpg. Mine is about the same as a 'hot' small block opf the period.
And probably better than my standard 68 327/300 as well. I just can't afford the BB swap, otherwise I would. I'll add it to the list like Derek has done.... and it'll probably be on there a while too :ROFLMAO:
