I must confess I'm not sure on Erlestoke Manor. I'm guessing its on long term hire. Seems to be getting a lot of use though as I see it often. That and the newly painted black 9351.

Just looked up the Erlestoke Manor Fund website . The EMF have always owned 7812 Erlestoke Manor since restoring it from scrap condition and I knew a lot of the guys well . It is on long term loan until December 2057 and 7802 Bradley Manor that they also own will arrive at WSR by end of this month and stay until November 2026 , so you will have plenty of Manor`s to admire down your way ! I think the EMF understandably want to see their locos used and earn much needed revenue on a miles run basis . The SVR just aren`t using them enough as they now pursue a `small loco` regular service to ease their financial issues which is great pity . Not like in my day when big locos reigned supreme !
That's a long term loan! In 30 odd years time I'll be retired and hopefully volunteering at the WSR.
As for Bradley, yeah I saw that one was coming down. So now doubt I'll see that at some point - probably the Spring Gala at start of May. Didn't know how long it was staying though - only half a year, nothing compared to the 30 odd years of Erlestoke.
