Corvette Nationals 2021

You caught us leaving early! This was my first visit to the Nationals and it was a great day, the only thing that would have made it even better for me would be the opportunity to meet up with some of the regular contributors to the forum. I did see Chuffer's car, as it's fairly unmistakable, but it would have been nice to see others and know who the owners were.

Totally agree Johng , maybe at the next gig we should all carry plackards with our Forum handles on so we can identify each other . :D It would have great to meet more members but with such a huge turnout of fabulous to admire and photograph , not to mention long chats with established friends not seen for ages , the day was not nearly long enough . Although I don`t think any of us would have survived much longer that heat !! Spot the guest appearance of Derek Nichol plus daughter .Now you know who to avoid . :ROFLMAO:DSCF3702.JPG
Rich Rogers informed me that all but two cars of the massive turn out will now also be at Silverstone Classic for which I have copped the job of setting up the CCCUK display area again . I know who the two of you are and you will be getting a call soon , so no pressure .

Great to finally meet up yesterday CaptainK after all the Forum chat . Hope the journey home was not too arduous in the stifling heat . It was bad enough just making the 40 minute dual carriageway dash for us . The Vette`s engine was a tad hot by the time we got home . 🥵
Ummm.... errr.... thanks, it has been great chatting on the forum mate. Alas, I wasn't at the Nationals - so unless there is a copy of me wandering around that I don't know about, then it probably wasn't me. Would be good to meet up properly sometime though :)

I'll have to try and make it sometime though, as I've been to big car club events before and they are always a laugh.

I was born confused and the sun frying my brains has just made me even worse . So if you are reading this post Forrest , sincere apologies and what I said in my post to CaptainK applies to you . There are just far too many blue C3`s on the Forum . ( now now JamesVette , calm down lad !! )

This is true. But how many are painted a Dodge Viper blue colour?

You make a good point though. When it comes to respray time, I'll have it painted bright pink with my forum handle name on the bonnet too. How many blokes are there in the club with a bright pink C3 with the words "CaptainK" across the bonnet?

For those who couldn’t make it, here are a few pics that I took….

LeTonk to the rescue.. thanks to you and Chuffer for filling in some more of the gaps.

Thats a very unusual colour for a C3.. still it was the Sixties/Seventies..
i bet most of these have been repainted in bright red over the years, nice to see a survivor.

Also round the back and on my Christmas prezzie list was the fab looking Grand Cherokee Track Hawk 6 Litre Supercharged V8 . It would make the perfect replacement for my Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi . :D

Ah ! the hat and tash have gone , no wonder I didn`t recognise you in the crowd . :ROFLMAO:
I would legit dress up as burt if I had a trans am!

I have got power brakes, but I'm in Gibraltar at the moment so can't press my brake pedal!

Now its my turn to blame the Sun & heat... Are you the chap with Forrest who i joked with about manning the border machine guns then?
And you own the C3 'Grand Sport'...

Perhaps one of the committee would like to give us a call on the absolutely shambles that was the ticket sales then I would be grateful as getting nowhere with the emails !!!!!
