Yes, i am indeed eminently forgettable, but the chances of two people being with Forrest who both spend time in Gibraltar seems a bit unlikely..
'defending the border'... no?
As it happens there were 2 people with Forrest who have both spent time in Gibraltar recently! I have just come back from a weeks holiday there, but most likely you were talking to Chris Bonvini who spends a lot of his time in Gibraltar and was at the Nationals on Sunday. In fact he was at my car with Andy at one point and helped me adjust my tickover.

Thank you to Julian and the Team for a great day - The sun was out and so were our Vettes and the camaraderie was shining through strong all day - lovely friends, lovely Vettes what more could we ask for - great to put faces to names and catch up on events and meet everyone.
and now thanks for all the great pics being posted here on the Forum
Well done to the Club and its Members who made the weekend such a Fabulous Event
THANK YOU
I’ll second that.
There was definitely an extra buzz to the Nationals this year with so many cars, the great weather, and perhaps the fact that there hadn’t been a Nats last year made me appreciate it more.
The three C8‘s certainly added to the occasion, being the first time most of us had seen one.
This is a great Club.

You are not going mad as I definitely heard a quip about manning machine gun posts whilst chatting with you , Forrest or Johng or someone else with a blue C3 !

To add to Johns explanation, because I can see how it’s getting confusing.
Johns car is very dark blue with the fender flashes and the low but now correct tick over. (I won’t mention reverse gear at this stage John, that’ll complicate things)
My car is bright blue (it’s original colour) but I’ve not been to Gibraltar recently. My engine bay is very stripped out but not to be confused with Oneballs car (sadly for me) as someone had also thought. His car is a similar blue but he wasn’t there. Captain Ks car is blue, he wasn’t there either. Simple!
It was really good to meet you Derek and Chuffer.

I
LeTonk to the rescue.. thanks to you and Chuffer for filling in some more of the gaps.

Thats a very unusual colour for a C3.. still it was the Sixties/Seventies..
i bet most of these have been repainted in bright red over the years, nice to see a survivor.

Riverside gold, a 1969 one year only color. John Z DeLorean had a 69 in this color as his personal car. It’s still about, made Hugh money when last at auction.
I imported this car a few years ago, it was a lovely car and was very tempted to keep it, thought about turning it into a Apollo Vet . A bit of black paint and away you go. A friend owned it for many many years and decided to sell it to complete a mustang he was building, so I bought it to help him out.
Looks good in the sun.

Never liked black/gold two tone on a corvette. Black with gold pin stripes yes, but solid two tone no. Good thing we all like different things otherwise it would be very dull indeed.
