Fella's - I rarely need to moderate anything on the forum (just the occasional spam posting) as you are all so 'restrained' and well behaved - however we will see a mix of people - male, female and youngsters etc (non-specific's too?) potentially visiting these pages. No doubt all of them love Corvettes and other American cars in the same way as us perhaps but perhaps will not appreciate some of the more raunchy 'girly' images. You're all doing fine - this is just a reminder to continue to keep it all 'classy' fella's.

I think the C4 has aged very gracefully. Gaining true classic status nowadays, and quite rightly so. They are great cars.

I completely agree. The more i see them the more i like them, so much so i keep taking photos of them.. whats happened to me?

Loved them when they were new...

Thats where we differ, i absolutely loathed them with a passion when they replaced the C3.

I started using a 1984 that we bought in from Miami in 1986 as a part daily driver ( along with a C3. ) in those days both cars had no problem with city of London traffic. The C4 at least had A/C that worked. Other C4’s followed suite as daily’s.

James, at some stage in the future you’ve got to pull the trigger on a corvette purchase. It may not be the right one but you would sample the car. You’re not going to keep it forever just enjoy it for a while until you want a different one. That’s what car ownership is all about.

I’ve still got that mobile in the garage somewhere. Frightening to think it cost £2500 in 1988. Plus £1 per minute. My god how did we afford to talk to people.

Yeah I can't wait to cruise down the road in a massive american car with my arm out the window! ;)

No James, it was the first series of portable mobile phones without a large battery pack.
Battery technology allowed them to be smaller than the trans mobiles.
They were about the size of a brick. Only calls, no texts ( they didn’t exist then. )

Back in the early 80’s if we imported a car with a CB radio in it, HM Customs would remove it. It was fine if it was a aftermarket fitted unit, but if it was a factory unit say for a corvette, they butchered the console ripping it out. You had no comebacks. They were bastards doing that to cars.

When I sit here and think back to some of the shit we had to take from HMCE back in the day it’s shameful. You ( the importer) had No recourse at all. People wouldn’t stand for it nowadays. How times have changed for the better.

Model shown has the euro door mirrors which fold in, which is handy.
US spec mirrors do not move. Many a door has been damaged ( along with the mirror itself) on tight garage parking.
I do prefer the US mirrors tho.

Totally agree , a time and place for everything . Sometimes the time or the place may not be appropriate .

I personally do not think Any of the pictures I’ve posted on this site are inappropriate for it. All of the ladies shown with the cars are fully clothed. The pictures were taken from a couple of very well know dealers websites in the US and they would not allow inappropriate attire to be worn for their website.
