Still on the Yokohama AD09's Dave?Hi All,
Sorry, I completely missed this, thank you.I was very happy with the win, although such was the gap made at the start I never saw my rivals who had been stuck in traffic. As a result the video is mostly just me lapping the slower cars. Still, a win's a win.

For this one I used the Yokohama A052, even more grip on track, but will wear faster and a shallower tread depth. The AD09 are still my 'do everything' tyre, they're very good and not too expensive either.Still on the Yokohama AD09's Dave?
Better than Pilot Sport 4 or 5's ?For this one I used the Yokohama A052, even more grip on track, but will wear faster and a shallower tread depth. The AD09 are still my 'do everything' tyre, they're very good and not too expensive either.![]()
I've not driven them back-to-back, but have plenty of respect for the Michelins. The AD09 is slightly more biased towards outright dry weather performance, they are ideal for the trackday warrior that needs to daily their car too. The Michelins should last longer and perform better in wet conditions, but are unlikely to perform quite as well in the dry. IMHO.Better than Pilot Sport 4 or 5's ?
Hi Steve,I’m sure you have probably listed it somewhere but what modifications does the car have from a normal base model?
Are you running suspension geometry at the factory tolerances? Camber etc?
It was a base model, 1LT from the factory, so no mag ride and not even the Z51 package. It was very comfy, but would wallow and pitch around every corner!Hi Dave, Just as a matter of interest, has your fast/race winning car got the Z51 or Mag Ride options on it from the factory? Regards/Peter
Thanks Dave, it’s very useful to start from a personal perspective rather than internet hearsay etc.Hi Steve,
Over the years the spec has evolved, but it's not too far removed from a stock car.
The handling modifications made are:
The geometry has a lot more negative camber and I run the same settings on the road and track now, with minimal extra tyre wear or tramlining. Front is around -3.5 degrees, rear is -1.6. Toe is straight ahead at both ends, well, perhaps a fraction of toe in at the rear, but it's very close to parallel.
Rear Z06 leaf spring, front is a Hyperco 'race' T1 leaf spring.
Bushes are mostly Delrin, with the front uppers in rubber. I'm not sure I would do this again, they bind and were very expensive.
KW V3 double adjustable dampers (not coilovers).
Z51 anti-roll bars. I should probably go thicker, but I'm happy with the handling and don't want to make the car too stiff on the bumpy B road I use every day.
Thanks, Dave
I’m currently using it mostly as a driveway weight… only had it a month. Just feels rather soft. As far as I’m aware the spec is stock based over than the coilovers. There was a previous owner who intended to make a drift car out of it.Are you having handling issues? Remind me of your approximate car specification including brakes, do you use it for road and track days?
