Adrian Flux have got to be the worst insurance at the moment for quotations and treating customers!
I was with them for almost 10 years with a vast array of different cars and vans, but every year the renewal quote was a battle! In the end I learned to always arm myself with quotes before calling them to do better. You'll always recieve a made up price with them! You call and ask them to do better, they'll then always give you 'their best price' which isn't much better than they've quoted, you'll then tell them the other quotes you've got... they can then amazingly do even better! Making it not the best price they gave you in the first place, is it

This year, I'd simply had enough of the yet again attempted extortion after they had me and my wife insured on 4 vehicles: a 2003 Nissan Elgrand 3.5 which I used for SD&P + commuting. a 2004 Lexus SC430 which she used for SD&P + commuting. a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX for SD&P only and my 2001 C5 also for SD&P only.
Tons of years no claims earned with them and beyond. No accidents either.
I paid just over £1500 for all 4 last year and when the renewal came through, they randomly wanted over £1700 even though I had sold the Subaru and now only wanted 3 vehicles reinsured!!!
They wouldn't explain why when I asked, then also told me I'd 'be lucky' to get anything cheaper than £1000 for my Corvette!
So off I went armed with that task and within the hour, I'd insured all 3 of them seperately with 3 different brokers, for less than they said it would cost to insire the Corvette alone! In fact, it cost me in total under half what Adrian Flux had quoted me for that 'multicar policy' which they claim to be cheaper.
I still have 1 of my motorcycles insured with them as they were still the cheapest. I have over 20 years no claims on my bikes also. But when I simply tried to add a 2nd motorcycle to my policy with a little over 10 months cover still remaining. They wanted a further £270 just to add it on! Even though I'd received an entirely new quote (armed again, knowing what was to come) and it was only £10 more expensive elsewhere with a new 'zero no claims' policy!
Where's the logic in giving them the business there? I'd only be recieving 10 months cover, plus not gain an extra ncb next year... to save a tenner!!!
They even tried to double my home insurance this year also, despite never claiming in my life! Told them to get stuffed on that too and went elsewhere, got an even cheaper quote than I'd been paying them for years!
All my friends have had terrible experiences with Adrian Flux this year also! Car and motorcycle related.
It really does baffle me how they're still in business with what I've personally witnessed and heard first hand
