NONE EXISTENT AFTER SALES SERVICE

I bought a new 24 model HTC last September my dream car, from Lumen now Greenhous ,everything was fine until 6 Months 11 days later when it refused to start, it has been with the dealer nearly 9 weeks now with no significant progress. I send bi weekly complaints to both Greenhous and Corvette Europe with no results. The problem is a battery drain. Tried the Motor Ombudsman this week, they can’t help because now Greenhous is not an accredited dealer. Any solicitors among you with any advice would be appreciated. Complained to the Finance Company but they tell me it will be another 3 weeks before they can give me a decision. Can’t believe the lack of after sales service when spending £90000!

First of all you are entitled to a loan car while they have your vehicle due to it being such a high value purchase, especially so after the time they've had it. After saying that - straight to County Court. It's a very simply process on-line and it's the finance company you must serve the summons on, they are the Defendant. In law you purchased the car from them, not the dealer. Put them in Court for the full purchase price stating Not of Merchantable Quality as the reason. The summons will hit them in little more than a week and believe me, they will sort the dealer out.

I suggest you demand the dealer to do all GM TSB software updates

There have been issues where C8 tries to do a OTA and ends up in a software corrupted state
There have been TSBs to correct that or maybe other TSBs GM put out for problem you have ?

Here is a GM TSB released in 2025 related to 2024 C8s, as to battery drains after a OTA was done
This happened to many 24s, so again demand dealer do ALL TSBs needed to update your 2024
Read this closely
There may also be other TSBs that might cause your problem and being in the UK the dealer did not do the updates

Hi one of the first things I did was go to Chevrolet website and put my vin in, it came up no pending recalls or something similar. I think part of the problem is Greenhous have lost the Corvette franchise and I am in the middle of it all, they changed the data transfer module a couple of weeks ago but it has seemed to cause more problems.

The fact that dealer has had your C8 for 9 plus weeks and cannot figure it out sounds like
they did not bother to send their techs to the Gm school for C8s
With the diagnostic tools GM has to debug problems it sounds like those techs do not or have no brains
to debug problems

Being there was TSB related to no starts, maybe being a C8 for UK is not part of GM database of your VIN #
I still would find someone who knows the C8s and how to correctly do all TSBs updates and any recalls of the USA
If you send PM me your VIN # I will see if anything shows as to software levels your controllers has

Here are some websites as to C8 TSBs you might find of use and being there is a lot of them
I doubt yours in the UK has all of them updated

Where are you based Brian? Lumen/Greenhous still listed on the Chevrolet Europe website as authorised dealer/service outlet. Are they losing that soon? If you are on Facebook, might be worth mentioning it on here where most of the UK car owners chat?
Might be worth talking to Neil at Parts USA? If I had a C8 that needs fixing, that would be my 1st choice.
