Florida is awesome. I hope to go there after covid (2 years time?). 😏
Yes, I’m missing it very much, was supposed to be back there last year, but Covid stopped that.
It’s changed so much over the years, lots more people, and high rise buildings and developments. Just like everywhere else.
Still nice as the suns out all the time. No winters in Florida.
Have you been? West coast Fl is much nicer than east coast. I’m in Clearwater ( when I’m there) which is near Tampa. A nice coastal town although it’s called a city.

A local Corvette specialist is called Toy Store in Largo, always has Nice cars, top money, but nice cars.
Another is corvette shop and supplies in Tampa.

So youre saying you would prefer to pay over £20k for something that doesnt need any work... thats fair 'nuf..
while i wasnt bothered about a few imperfections i didnt personally want a project either, im too old to be bothered with that, i just wanted something to use and enjoy.
I went through a couple of years of my Ford Pop being a project, not looking to go there again.. maybe if i was younger.
If you were younger you wouldn`t know what you know now . Just be thankful that the years have taught you something and you can avoid most of the pitfalls . Just remember those sage words , " Age and experience will always triumph over youth and exuberance " .

Had a '69 Vert Mustang in that colour. Bought it for 'er indoors to replace her much loved 302 Mustang 11 Ghia. The '69 was ordered new in the 'States by a Brit. A tight Brit. He ordered the Pony interior, drum brakes, three speed manual and 200 cu in 6 banger - that was it. His UK based nephew bought ot off him and shipped back to UK. It was without doubt one of the most horrible cars I had ever driven and I just had to sell it on.....

A very stubborn Brit as well. I bet that salesman pushed real hard to get him to add a few extras to bump up the price.
Just goes to show, there’s an arse for every seat.

It is strange when you see what cars were ordered with or without when they were new. My 65 has power steering, but no power brakes. A $45 option at the time, but the buyer didn’t order them. Strange considering nearly all cars were bought on finance over 2/3 years. What difference to the monthly payments over 24/36 months would another $45 make.

Oddly my '68 Vette has exactly that (or rather doesn't have exactly that!) power steering but no power brakes. Has a c/r 4 speed and 3.08 axle, yes understand that, has the am/fm radio - also had the F41 Slalom suspension. But back in mid/late 60's the seeming European 'thing' of cars with 4 speeds and supposedly heavier duty 'handling' suspension were a big selling point - guess the non-power brakes were too although the contradiction of 'finger-tip' light steering and the additional pedal effort required on the brake pedal would have given the average American ass a severe case of haemherroids

I am the music DJ on WOLD , tra la la !
20 years ago when I first goit my '68 whilst the radio worked one of the kick-panel speakers had 'blown' - whilst an AM/FM radio it wasn't the ultra expensive AM/FM 'Stereo' radio and at only something like 1.2 watt output it wasn't exactly audible except when stationary...........so I've never, ever listened to it.........but with the only decent, listenable radio now seeminging 'on-line' or on DAB I'm kinda tempted to 're-boot' the Vette radio with new speaker and start listening to Radio Caroline and the CCCUK's very own member DJ, Rob Ashard...........
