Nice job!, how did you tidy up yr chrome bezels ? Mine are a bit chipped too 👍
Steering column and dash was out anyway so was a no brainer to do this. removed the bezel and very gently scraped the paint off with a blunt scraper. (comes off really easy). mine were quite pitted too so i did spend a bit of time with some 400 grade wet and dry to get them nice and flat. i then spent quite a bit of time masking of the chrome edges. i found the easiest way was to use green frog tape and then sharp scalpel around edges. take your time to get this bit right. i did my first one twice before i was happy with it. then primed the metal with an etch primer. U pol rattle can is great for this as i'm no expert sprayer. couple of coats then on with u pol satin black. i did my first coat too heavy and ended up with some small runs, out with the wet and dry again then 4 very light coats later i got where i was happy with them. they're not easy to paint but well with the effort. My lenses were in good condition but i decided to opt for new ones, wow what a difference they look like new now. CK keep them as a stock item, cost me about £50 but one of the best little spends ive made.

Steering Column and dash back in. Thanks to Scott at CK for all his help with that and sorting the rear light wiring mess. Spare wheel carrier back in all ready for the bumper back from sprayers next week. Lost my beanie earlier looking everywhere for it. Just found it under the rear tyre when posting the pics.9F8DA6CF-5B21-4311-BCE7-2A9FE33651EC.jpegB959672C-CF3F-43B6-AF1D-F8F3E132FE25.jpeg224E4A79-2F6C-403A-8788-8D28E9CD4E93.jpeg

Last few bits finished off this morning. It all
started with replacing the newer spec lights for older spec but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the work throughout the winter. Passenger door mirror also fitted along with new air cleaner.A big thanks to Scott at CK for all his help with the parts and my many questions on how do you do this?
Took it out today for a short trip shakedown I’m still smiling now 😁😁43377EAD-7181-4822-99FE-7951A10C85D9.jpegB13F7DF5-E427-48EC-8B1B-93062E3CE3E9.jpeg5AB7A3A9-FDCF-4B58-9F11-2DCFDA9D127A.jpeg3A3A1C7F-99B2-46FF-862F-BBB320A16ED8.jpeg
