What are the rear flares Chuffa - they look nice ?
Sorry , haven`t a clue . The front spoiler , side skirts and rear skirts look like LT Body Panels but no idea about the rear arches . I think the rear wing might be an adapted and frenched in Toyota Celica GT4 job due to most of its life spent in Japan .DSCF1842.JPG

The car is coming along a treat Tim, I.M.H.O. this is the best thread on the forum.
I will go with Nick - The Best on the Forum now and in my time on the Forum, it is quality work in all areas - well done Tim

Thanks both, it’s only coz no one else is daft enough to do it.

Totally agree. And I keep thinking this car is now far too good to be flung around a race track and over kerbs at 100mph!

Thanks. My Mini is pretty nice too.

What is this 'rain' stuff you talk of? Move the project down south, we haven't seen any for ages. Btw agree with others, this thread is compulsive viewing. (y)

There were only a couple of drops then it stopped.

More details on the mini please Tim, it looks brilliant. I was very tempted to swap my Vette for a well done, hot rally style mini last year.

That’s my other race car. Mk1 Cooper S (originally a Cooper) owned it since 95 and rebuilt it twice. Currently in storage while I was painting. Hopefully get it back soon and then need to change the steering rack before 1st race of the year.

You just had to put up another photo of your Mini didn't you! Can you see me turning green again?! :) It's almost a twin for my pristine '66 Cooper, (except your has the "racing accoutrements"), and I still miss it, even though I sold it in 1978! I'd have another if they weren't more expensive than a C7!

Back in the days many of my friends had Minis (Road Going) De-seamed, twin tanked, lowered, Minilites 1071s to 1440cc, but the one common item was the 40DCOE - There is just something about the induction noise of a Weber sitting just the other side of the Bulkhead in a Mini - What CC are you running Tim and is it carbed?

Love the sound of a hot 4 banger without air box and Webers/Delorto's
