I need to get the whole lot so spinners, caps, pins, cap puller and comes out at £780 or so from CK. Do people still do that or us a USA site.
Mine all a bit rusted and one has done 300 turns down the road now...

Doesn’t hurt to check out the US suppliers to see what they are offering. A number of them usually have Easter specials. Just remember to add the shipping and UK import “tax” to any prices quoted.

10% will be the import duty and 20% VAT.
If you look on eBay. Conm a number of the leading Corvette part suppliers have stores on there ie Corvette central , Ecklers, paragon , etc . Their prices will show shipping through the global shipping programme along with the UK taxes. Once paid nothing more to pay on importation. All covered in case of loss etc.

Mid America is another corvette specialist supplier who is on eBay.com. Ordered a few bits from him the other month, good prices and arrived very quickly through the GSP.

Just wanted to say that in my experience with Knock-Offs there should be no problems provided they are installed properly. I had them on my '64 for 20 years, covering close to 80,000 miles, and never had any issues. All four wheels were removed at least once a year for annual brake bleeding and I had no problems removing/replacing the pins. I found that the dead-blow hammer shown in the article posted by Stuart at the start of this thread was all that I needed to tighten the spinners.

cant work out why it kept falling off as we were standing on the wrench

Not when you were moving you weren't..

How are the locater holes on the backside? If they're 'ovalised' might need to replace the wheel.

Thanks Chris for chipping in and also for your tutorial I posted earlier in the thread.

a good point as i am guessing that as it fell off three times the holes could well be a bit mashed up but the wheel located all ok. i am takin them all off and changing to fatter radials anyway so will swap that one with the spare i think

Don't make the mistake I made by ordering 5 new tyres. The spare needs a much smaller tyre to fit in the tub

Ha ha no I already worked that one out. I will stick the dodgy one in as a spare that has the thinner goldline on it. He says hoping that will fit?

if it's a 205/15/60 or 70 it won't fit. I f I get the time I'll drop mine and check. I did go with 215/70's on mine which is as wide and tall as you can go in the factory set up.

I need to be at the car to know but that will tell me so thanks. The tyres on it are goldline stock size and I haven't a clue what that is. They are crossply a bit fatter than a bicycle

Stock I believe is 205/60/15

On mine I went with Auburn P215/75/R15 and there are no rubbing issues.

Just dropped the spare which is made by CONTACT and is 165/80/R15 which fits the tub nicely.

I'm annoyed with mine as the white line is too wide but I only had a week or so from buying it to attending Stars & Stripes 2021 so I had no other choice. I'll change them at some point for blue lines which I think will complement the blue ray glass
